Requirements for settlement in Australia

Australian immigration law stipulates that the following four basic conditions must be met:

1) Under 45 years old

2) English level: IELTS 5 is required.

Some professional immigrants, such as engineers, require 6 points, and registered nurses require 7 points. If they apply for registered doctor immigration, they need to pass the OET b level, but some skilled workers require 4.5 points for doctor immigration to pass the OET B level examination.

3) Work experience: If the occupation you are applying for nomination belongs to Australia's 60-point occupation, you need to have 18 months of work experience before applying for immigration; If the occupation you are applying for nomination belongs to Australia's 40-point or 50-point occupation, you need to have 2 years' work experience in the 3 years before applying for immigration. Usually, the occupation you nominate is closely related to your education, but there are exceptions.

4) Education: High school education or above is required.

If you meet the above four basic conditions, you are eligible to give yourself an immigration score. At present, Australia's immigration score is 120, but in order to meet the needs of production development in some States, Australia has formulated some special immigration standards, which are 100 or even 70. In other words, if you give yourself a score of 120, you can 100% emigrate to any place in Australia. If your score is only 100 or even lower, you need to meet some additional conditions of the Australian government, such as living in a non-metropolis or lacking skilled workers nominated by some Australian state governments, such as chefs, mechanics in the automobile industry, metal structure, welding and metal plate mechanics, electricians, painters and so on.
