Wabu Lake, the largest lake in the Huaihe River Basin of Anhui Province, is located in the southeast of Shouxian County, involving three administrative regions (Shouxian County accounts for 65%, Changfeng County accounts for 30%, and Huainan City accounts for 5%). It starts from Wulizha near Shouxian County in the north and reaches Xingpu in the south, with a total length of 60 kilometers, the widest water surface of 6000 meters and the narrowest point of only 300 meters. Its corresponding lake surface 156 square kilometers, water depth of 4.5 meters, shallow depth of 0.5 meters, average water depth of 2-2.5 meters, and water storage capacity of 220 million cubic meters.

This lake originally belonged to the lower reaches of the East Feihe River, which was formed by the injected low-lying water on both sides of the river. The Records of Shouzhou in Guangxu of Qing Dynasty records: "Duzhuang Wooden Bridge goes westward (along the river), and the Wabu Street is filled with fertilizer for fifteen miles. Its north and south banks are simple, and every time the water rises, dozens of miles will become a huge immersion, which is almost the same as the' accumulated water is a Yiyang Lake'."
