The waiting time for the new Shanghai residence permit points is 20 working days. According to the Measures of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Residence Permit, if a holder applies for points, he shall provide corresponding certification materials according to the points of residence permit and entrust his unit to handle it in the talent service center. After the talent service center accepts it, it will transfer the integral materials to the human resources and social security department for review. After verification, the human resources and social security department shall, within 20 working days, make points according to the residence permit points index system and inform the applicant of the points.
