L Passport must be handled at the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau where the household registration is located.

L The old passport can be directly replaced with a new passport when it expires, and there is no need to replace it.

Beijing, Guangzhou and other cities still implement the new version of the 97 passport application method, and the procedures for applicants to apply for passports are also simplified accordingly. 1. Bring my ID card to the local entry-exit administration office to get the application form;

2. Fill in the application form, affix the red seal and the signature of the person in charge, and then go to the personnel department or party committee where the file is located. The child's application form only needs the parents' signature. The application form needs two copies;

3. Submit one of the following materials according to different purposes of going abroad:

A full travel invoice of a travel agency with overseas travel business qualification recognized by the state (for the purpose of traveling abroad). In other words, the so-called travel agency can help with the passport, but the application form still needs to be taken back to the unit for seal).

B. Proof of qualification examination for studying abroad at one's own expense (for the purpose of studying abroad at one's own expense).

C. Exempt from overseas invitation materials (such as visiting friends for the purpose of going abroad). If there are foreign friends, you only need to fill in the name of the foreign friend, the time of arrival in the country and other information on the application form, and you don't need to submit any additional supporting materials. This method is recommended).

4. The original and photocopy of the household registration book and ID card;

5. A photo 1 piece (48*33mm) that meets the requirements shall be posted on the application form.

6. Get your passport after 2 1 day (15 working days) of data submission (Beijing).

Note: The regulations for handling passports in different regions of China are not exactly the same. Before applying for a passport, you must first check the relevant regulations at the local entry-exit administration office.
