Qingyuan, a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province. Located in the north-central part of Guangdong Province, China, in the middle and lower reaches of Beijiang River, it is adjacent to Shaoguan in the north and northeast, Guangzhou in the southeast and south, Foshan in the south and Zhaoqing in the west.

It has jurisdiction over Qingcheng District, Qingxin District, Fogang County, Yangshan County, Liannan Yao Autonomous County and Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County. It also has jurisdiction over two county-level cities in yingde city and Lianzhou, and two cities and four counties in ***2 districts, with a total area of 1.9 million square kilometers and a permanent population of 3.874 million in 20 18 years.

Qingyuan enjoys local legislative power.
