Longxugou is in Chongwen District, Beijing. Longxugou, the main drainage channel in the outer city of Beijing, originates from Hufang Bridge, flows through overpass, goldfish pond and Hongqiao, then turns south and flows into the moat outside Yongdingmen. Unearthed in the Ming Dynasty, it was originally named "Jiaotan Houhe". It was called "Longxugou" in Qing Dynasty. Longxugou is an early "immigrant" area in Beijing. It is reported that many people fled from Wan Li at that time, not far from other places, and some local residents lived here. Lao She's masterpiece Longxugou also recorded this historical change. According to the records of that year, the geology of Longxugou area was very poor, and the ground was covered with garbage, only the original ground below 5 meters was seen. In order to improve people's living and sanitary environment, the reconstruction project of Longxugou was officially started on 1950.
