Is there a pension for village Committee members to retire?

Legal analysis: village party secretary has no pension after retirement, and village cadres have no pension. Villagers' committees belong to villagers' autonomous organizations, not state organizations, so they can't enjoy the treatment of state cadres. Village secretaries who reach the legal age and meet the retirement-related conditions can have relevant pensions after retirement.

Legal basis: Members of village grass-roots organizations, such as villagers' committees in the second paragraph of Article 93 of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), assist the people's government in the following administrative work, and belong to other persons who are engaged in official duties according to law as stipulated in the second paragraph of Article 93 of the Criminal Law: (1) those who manage disaster relief, emergency rescue, flood prevention, special care, poverty alleviation, immigration and relief of funds and materials; (two) the management of social donations to public welfare undertakings; (three) the operation and management of state-owned land; (four) the management of land expropriation compensation fees; (5) Collecting and paying taxes; (six) family planning, household registration and conscription; (seven) to assist other administrative work of the people's government. The village Committee organizes personnel to engage in the above work, mainly national staff.
