Tanggu has been an important coastal defense military place to communicate with maritime traffic since ancient times. After Judy, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, made its capital, that is, today's Beijing, he stationed heavily on the north and south banks of the Tanggu section of the Haihe River and set up forts, making Tanggu an important coastal defense and maritime traffic distribution center. Hundreds of years later, the Qing dynasty also stationed troops in Tanggu, built Tanggu station, laid railway tracks and transported important materials such as coal.
If the geographical location of Tanggu determines the importance of Tanggu Station, then the development of Tanggu Station has also deeply affected Tanggu. Speaking of the old bend, everyone in Tanggu knows that the origin of the old bend is closely related to Tanggu Station. In the past, the line of Jintang Railway in Tanggu was herringbone, and the train had to turn around and then turn in any direction. In order to solve this problem, a light bulb line was laid near Xingang Road and Chaoyang Street. When the train turns around here, there is no need to change the head. The place where the train turns is called Laowan, which has continued to this day. Tanggu Station, also called Xinhe Station in 1930s, mainly transports kerosene, salt and materials needed by nearby factories. Most of the passengers coming and going are nearby residents who make a living abroad. The other part of the passengers are employees of Mobil and Dahua oil companies. Although the train stopped at Tanggu Station for a short time, the station attendant began to organize the departure as soon as the train stopped, but the vendors still entered the station early and sold crabs and prawns to passing passengers on the platform. For a time, on the platform, the cries of hawking and the call of the station attendant intertwined, forming a vivid life scene painting. Only a few minutes later, the train left the station, leaving only the smell and silence of the sea on the platform.
Compared with the random passengers in Tanggu station, the number of passengers in 300-ton station is much more fixed. In order to facilitate the workers of Tianjin Port Authority and Xingang Shipyard to commute to work, the suburban bus line from Tianjin Railway Station to Tanggu Station was extended to 300 tons at Xingang Station, and the triangular line became the boarding and alighting point of suburban bus in the port, and a small bungalow at the navigation place was the ticket office. Every day when going to work, these "commuter" passengers are concentrated at the boarding point. The river bend was crowded with people. As soon as the train arrives, everyone will rush to it, because the employees in the same unit are waiting for the bus, so when waiting for the bus, everyone will form a small circle and chat for a while. In that era when information was underdeveloped, the 300-ton station was like a small "information transfer station". A passenger platform and a small waiting room were built next to the1984,300-ton parking lot, and the 300-ton parking lot became a formal "passenger station". The south station building of Tanggu Railway Station, the newly-built VIP building and the patrol room on the east side of the original ticket office are being renovated internally. The 50-meter-long East-in and West-out passage is specially built to facilitate passengers to enter and leave the station from both sides of the railway.
The 1-4 platform can be accessed through the waiting hall of the south station building, and the suspended ceiling and platform ground have been laid for the canopy project without platform columns. The milky white canopy extends along the railway track, and the fashion elements and modern atmosphere are highlighted to the extreme.
Tanggu Railway Station North Station has a building area of 2,485 square meters and a floor height of 14.35 meters, including the ticketing hall, the entrance hall and the exit hall. The building design is rectangular, the middle north facade is curved, and the exterior wall color is beige. The newly-built North Station platform is much higher than the general platform, and it is flush with the bottom of the train door, so customers don't have to take the escalator to get on and off, which is safe and convenient. In addition, in order to connect the North and South stations, two additional underground passages will be built. Passengers can enter and leave the waiting hall from South Station and North Station respectively.
The North Station Building was officially opened on 2065438+September 20th, 2005. The commissioning of the North Station Building will greatly increase the capacity of Tanggu Railway Station, and relieve the pressure of ticket purchase and waiting brought by the opening of Beijing-Tianjin intercity and the increase in the number of passengers.
