What festival is Mazu?
Mazu is a Taoist belief in the sea god centered on the southeast coast of China, also known as the mother of Tiannv, Tianhou, Tian Fei, Tianhou and Meizhou. For Mazucha and Tingshi, there are two guards before driving, that is, the crescent axe in the right hand, the farsightedness and clairvoyance in the left hand (also known as General Jin Jing), the Tian Fangji in the right hand and the listening sound in the left hand (also known as General Water Mirror).
During the Yongle period of Ming Dynasty, Zheng He went to the Western Ocean, and Mazu belief reached its peak when it spread overseas. In addition, with a large number of uninterrupted overseas migration activities of China people, Mazu belief has spread more widely and deeply, from Fujian to coastal provinces such as Zhejiang and Guangdong, and then to Taiwan Province Province, Ryukyu, Hong Kong, Macau, the Philippines, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. There are Tianhou Palace or Mazu Tempel in Shanghai, Nanjing, Shandong and Liaoning, and even Mazu Tempel has begun to appear in Europe and America.
