Singapore's latest entry news and regulatory policies in July 2020

Singapore is a small country with a high degree of development in Southeast Asia. The living environment and cultural atmosphere here are very suitable for travel and holiday, and it is a paradise for shopping. During the epidemic in 2020, Singapore also formulated a series of entry restrictions. People who want to go to Singapore need to know the relevant regulations in time.

Recently, the Singapore government announced the adjustment of immigration prevention and control measures. The main contents include:

1. With the approval of the relevant authorities in Singapore, the "fast track" (at present, only qualified short-term tourists traveling between China and Singapore can enter the country, and other foreign short-term tourists are still not allowed to enter the country.

2. All people entering Singapore, including Singapore citizens, permanent residents and long-term permit holders, must be tested by COVID-19 before the end of family isolation. When going to the designated place for inspection, you should use your own vehicle or designated vehicle to avoid using public transport.

Three. For immigrants who stay in Australia, Brunei and China (including Hongkong, Macau, Taiwan Province, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Viet Nam) for 14 days or more before entry, there is no need to stay at designated facilities for home isolation.

Among them, Singapore citizens and permanent residents can be isolated at home, and long-term permit holders can be isolated at home or in hotels. Other entry-exit personnel need to go to designated facilities for isolation.

Four. All expenses for home isolation testing shall be borne by the entry-exit personnel themselves.

At present, Singapore has opened a fast track with us. Approved tourists will be allowed to enter Singapore, but they still need to undergo self-isolation and accounting tests.

Generally speaking, it is good news, but it is basically limited to business travelers. Travel still needs to wait for further policies.
