Textual research on Xiaogan in Xiaogan Township, Macheng
Today, Xiaogan Township cannot be found on the map of Macheng City, which does not mean that there is no Xiaogan Township in Guma County. In Guangxu's Preface to Macheng County Records, Macheng County was divided into four townships: Taiping, Xianju, Tingchuan and Xiaogan in the early Ming Dynasty, which were unified into 130 miles. Chenghua room is 94 miles, and Xiaogan enters Xianju as Sanxiang. During the Jiajing period, Taitai and Xianer Township entered Huang An for 20 miles and stopped at 74 miles. (Note: here, "Li" means, 1 10 households are Li, and 10 households are Li) Xiaogan Township was recorded in the early Ming Dynasty, and it was abandoned in Chenghua for eight years and merged into Xianju Township. Although it existed only as a building and a place name in the Ming Dynasty, its influence lasted for hundreds of years.
Xiaogan Township is located in the northwest of Macheng County, bordering Henan Province in the north. Because of its remoteness, it is difficult to carry out government decrees. In the twenty-first year of Jiajing, Li Daxia, the supervisor of Macheng County, wrote to the court and requested to set up a county: "The county is located in Jiangjiafan, bordering Huanggang and Huangpi, close to Xinyang, Guangshan and Luoshan counties, and the roads lead to Niutoushan and Prison Mountain; The land is remote, the people are stubborn, the officials are difficult to control remotely, thieves haunt, and several people are robbed and killed. Begging to set up a county government in Jiangjiafan to protect the place. " The opinions of Li Daxia and others were endorsed by Huguang Governor Lu Jie and Huguang Governor Shi Baoshan. However, the idea of establishing a county was also blocked by local officials and villagers, and the demarcation work could not be carried out, forcing the establishment of a county to be temporarily suspended. In the twenty-sixth year of Jiajing, Guo Fengyi, the magistrate of Huangzhou, wrote to Chen Jianjun again, and received strong support from Macheng Minister Shang Shugeng. I wrote a letter to Yue Feng, the former ambassador of Huguang Youdu, to win support. In the thirty-ninth year of Jiajing, Geng commanded a meeting with Liu Lun, the new governor of Huguang, to set up a county in Beijing. Liu Lun attached great importance to it and gave it to Macheng county magistrate Su Song for preparation. Soon, Liu Lun left office and the establishment of the county was put on hold again. The following year, Geng was ordered to inspect Xixia. On the way, I met Zhang Yu, the new governor of Huguang, and discussed the establishment of the county with Zhang Yu. This time, Guo Ren, a Guo-zi-jian diploma in Guo Jian, contacted a group of guests to jointly write a letter, and Governor Zhang Yuling asked his subordinates to discuss the establishment of the county. Ying Mingde, Yuan Fuhui, inspector general Tang of Huguang, inspector general Xu Nankui of Buzheng and provincial judges all agreed to establish a county, and the discussion on establishing a county was decided. In the forty-first year of Jiajing, Xu Jie, the minister of does, tried his best to help. In the spring of the forty-second year of Jiajing, the county was officially established with the approval of the court. It is planned to analyze Shilijia in Taiping and Xianju townships of Macheng County, Balijia in Wuyuan Township of Huangpi County, and Shilijia in Shanghe Township of Huanggang as a new county, named Xin 'an County, and later renamed Huang An County (now Hongan County). This is one of the evidences of Xiaogan Township in history.
According to the Records of Macheng County and Hongan County, the original map of Macheng County is more than 4,500 square kilometers, and now it is about 3,607 square kilometers, which is divided into Xianju Township 1000 square kilometers (the original Xiaogan Township 1000 square kilometers, accounting for a quarter of the total area of Macheng County); The original map of Huang An County covers an area of about 1976 square kilometers (it was divided into 180 square kilometers with Xinxian County in Henan Province and Dawu County in Hubei Province during the Republic of China, and the current map area is 1796 square kilometers). It can be seen that nearly half of the population and land in Huang An County comes from Macheng County, and Xiaogan Township is a corner of Macheng County, which is connected with Henan, which is equivalent to Qiliping in Hong 'an County and most of the southeast of Chengguan (Jiangjiafan) is the original Xiaogan Township. The former Xiaogan Township subordinate stayed in Macheng County. For example, in the genealogy of the Deng family in Macheng, its ancestors moved from Jiangxi to Dengjiabang Village in Xiaogan Township. Since Xiaogan Township was included, Dengjiabang Village has always belonged to Fuqiaohe Township in Macheng. This is the second evidence of Xiaogan Township in history.
From the establishment of the county to the end of Qing Dynasty, it was never so easy to set up three townships (also known as Li), that is, to follow the original township names-Taixian (referred to as Taiping Township, Xianju Township), Zhonghe and Hanyuan. During the Republic of China, counties, districts, associations and organizational systems were implemented. The county has a 10 district, and the fifth district is named Xianju District. 1929 in may, the Soviet regime was established in Huang An, and the county was also divided into 10 district, and the fifth district was still named Xianju district. In September, Liu Deng's army advanced into Dabie Mountain and established Huang An Liberated Area. The county is divided into seven districts, among which Taixian District was named after the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Xianju Township referred to here is actually the old land of the original Xiaogan Township, which has its place without its name. This is the third evidence of Xiaogan Township in history.
According to the facts, it can be said exactly that Xiaogan Township, a holy land for immigrants, straddles Hongan County and Macheng City, and most of it is in Macheng City.
