Basic qualifications of Hong Kong and quality migrant admission scheme applicants

Applicants must have the following basic qualifications:

The applicant must prove that he can bear the life and accommodation of himself and his dependants (if any) alone during his stay in Hong Kong without relying on the help of the public.

3. Good quality

No matter in Hong Kong or elsewhere, the applicant must not have any criminal offence or bad entry record.

4. Language ability

Applicants must have good written and spoken Chinese or English (spoken English means ordinary or Cantonese).

5. Basic calendar

Applicants must have a well-prepared academic calendar. Generally speaking, they must have a university degree awarded by an accredited university or higher education institution. Under special circumstances, you can also be considered if you can attach a good technical history, demonstrable professional ability and/or pass the test and succeed.

If the applicant fails to provide satisfactory supporting documents to show that he meets all the above basic qualifications, his application will be rejected immediately and will not be continued.

Scoring system

Applicants who meet all the conditions of "Basic Qualification" can choose to accept further evaluation by "Comprehensive Scoring System" or "Achievement Scoring System". Each applicant can only submit one application at the same time, and only one scoring system can be selected for evaluation in the same application.

Minimum passing score

The comprehensive scoring system has a minimum passing score. Interested applicants should evaluate whether their personal qualifications have reached the minimum passing score before submitting their applications. The minimum passing score may change from time to time.

The latest applicable minimum passing score is 80.

Fraction-based system

The scheme also provides another scoring system for people with extraordinary talents or skills and outstanding achievements to apply for entry to Hong Kong. Applicants in this category can choose to be evaluated by the "score system". This scoring system is extremely demanding. This scoring system takes the applicant's performance as the evaluation benchmark. If you choose to use this scoring system to evaluate applicants, you can only get 165 from one scoring category. If the applicant is considered to meet one of the requirements listed in the scoring system in the next paragraph, he can get 165; If he doesn't meet the requirements, he won't get a score. If he can't get a score, his application will be rejected immediately.

If the following requirements are met, scores can be obtained according to the scoring system:

1. The applicant has won outstanding achievement awards (such as Olympic medals, Nobel prizes and national/international awards); or
