From Chongqing Fengjie Baidicheng in the west to Nanjinguan in Yichang, Hubei Province in the east. The Three Gorges is the general name of Qutang Gorge, Wuxia Gorge and Xiling Gorge, with a total length of 193 km, of which the canyon section is 90 km.

Qutang Gorge is the first gorge of the Yangtze River, eight kilometers long and the shortest gorge in the Three Gorges. Wuxia starts from Daning estuary in Wushan county in the west and ends at Guandukou in Hubei province in the east, with a total length of about 46 kilometers. Xiling Gorge, located at the east mouth of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River in Yichang, is the "throat of Chongqing and Hubei".
