Geographical location of Jiabiangou labor camp
Jiabiangou reeducation-through-labor camp in Jiuquan City, Gansu Province is a state-owned reeducation-through-labor camp established by the General Administration of Reeducation through Labor in Gansu Province in July 2004. 1954. Its site was built on the original site of Longwang Temple in Jiabiangou Village, about two miles away from Jiabiangou Village. It is located 30 kilometers northeast of Jiuquan City, sandwiched between the south of Shan Zhi and the north of Beicheng City. The southeast is called Linshui, the north is called Beiwan and the northwest is called Xintiandi. The sand mountain with beacon tower is called Maojiashan. The land here is barren, mostly Gobi desert, with an area of more than 200 square kilometers, irrigated by Beida River. There are many ditches and fields because Qingshui River flows here. Jiabiangou Farm belongs to Jiuquan City, but its geographical location is close to Jinta County. Most of the land here was reclaimed by reform-through-labour prisoners on barren beaches, and the ancient soil that preserved the Great Wall was also buried.
