Liangcheng site, located in two towns in Donggang District, is the first typical site of Longshan culture with a total area of1120,000 square meters. It was discovered in 1934 and excavated in 1936. More than 50 adult tombs and children's tombs were found in the ruins of two towns, and the funerary objects were mainly pottery. One of the tombs is rich in funerary objects, including exquisite jade, turquoise headdress and eggshell pottery cups. The pottery unearthed from the site reflects that the fast-wheel pottery-making technology was quite developed at that time, especially the black pottery cup as thin as an eggshell was superb, representing the highest level of prehistoric pottery-making industry in China. Stone tools are ground very finely.
