Is it worthwhile for nurse China to go abroad at the age of 35?

You can go abroad, but it depends on which country you choose. Nurses in China need to meet the following four basic conditions when going abroad:

First, education requires at least three years of full-time nursing secondary school education, preferably a nursing college education.

Secondly, a certain English foundation, CET-4 or IELTS-5 is the basic requirement for nurses to go abroad.

Third, hold a registered nurse's license in China.

Four, undergraduate nurses should have at least 1 year work experience; College nurses need at least 2 years of nursing experience; Nurses in technical secondary schools should have at least 3 years working experience in hospitals. Foreign hospitals pay special attention to work experience and practical skills when selecting talents. Middle-aged people, but nurses with rich nursing experience are more favored by foreign units.

Nurses in China usually go abroad in the following four modes:

First, "short-term language training+nursing work" is the main mode of going abroad.

This model can be described as an intermediate model between studying abroad and working. This is mainly because nurses are badly needed in western countries, so the entry conditions for nurses are relatively loose. Specifically, the requirements for academic qualifications, financial guarantees, English proficiency and visa procedures have been greatly reduced. This practice is closer to the actual situation of nurses in China, and avoids the embarrassment and regret that Chinese nurses can't go abroad for employment because their English can't meet the requirements of foreign countries. They can only work as nurses or nurse assistants, but not as registered nurses (RN).

Second, go abroad to work directly.

At present, nurses in China who choose this method can only be employed in Southeast Asian countries. The language requirements are also very low, and they can work after going abroad, so the economic pressure is less, so most nurses in China are competent and acceptable. The main countries are Singapore, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and other Middle Eastern countries as well as African countries. This method is being favored by quite a few nurses in China.

Third, apply for nursing courses in foreign universities and go abroad as traditional international students.

This practice is a long-term investment of Chinese nurses, which is of great help to the long-term development of Chinese nurses. Because of the foreign higher education background, diploma and life experience, the future salary will be greatly improved.

This method has higher requirements for visa processing, which is reflected in IELTS scores and more financial guarantee. Suitable for nurses who have worked for less than 5 years, have a good family and a good foreign language.

The risk coefficient of this method increases with the changes of immigration policies in various countries this year. Students who studied nursing in Australia before June 2009 can obtain a registered nurse's license in Australia after completing graduation credits. After that, graduates must take the OET4A or 4B exam or LELTS 4 7. Students with poor Chinese scores should choose carefully.

Four, through the evaluation of the nursing administration of developed countries, go directly to foreign hospitals for internship and get the registered nurse license of the host country.

This approach mainly includes internship in hospitals in Australia and Britain, or taking the NCLEX exam in the United States, and then obtaining a registered nurse's license in the host country.

This practice is closer to the actual situation of domestic nurses with IELTS 6 or above or domestic nurses over 30 years old with more than 2 years of overseas nursing experience, and has strong feasibility and stability.

Ways for nurses from China to immigrate to the United States

1. Pass the ISPN or registered nurse exam.

2. Obtain visa screening through TOEFL or IELTS, TSE and TWE (apply for ICHP of CGFNS branch or other relevant institutions).

3. Sign a work contract with an American employer

4. Enter the immigration procedure

Immigration procedure

In the United States, all foreigners must obtain a visa issued by the US Immigration Service, which is usually called a "permanent resident visa". It allows nurses to work in the United States as permanent residents for any length of time.

The whole process of applying for a "green card" takes 6- 12 months.

Green cards are especially important for married applicants. Because the spouse of the nurse and any children under the age of 2 1 will automatically get the qualification to apply for a green card.

All green card holders can work legally in the United States.

For those who wish to immigrate to the United States, the Immigration Bureau must first approve the application for immigrant visa (I- 140 form, application form for foreign workers). Note: American immigration law requires that medical professionals other than doctors must go through a procedure before applying for a work visa. Visascreen provided by ICHP, a branch of CGFNS, enables medical professionals to meet this requirement by verifying and evaluating their certificates. Obtaining the Visascreen certificate requires submitting the test scores of TSE and TWE, and the time for obtaining the visa screening project certificate varies. After the I- 140 form is sent to the immigration office, the applicant will eventually fill in the application immediately. When you go to the consulate for the final visa interview, you need to show your certificate, so having a certificate for a long time before the interview will help relieve some of your stress.

After the I- 140 form is sent to the immigration office, it may take 3 to 6 months or even longer to get approval.

Within a few weeks after I- 140 is approved, you will receive the forms and instructions from the national visa agency of the United States. After these forms are handed over to the consulate, you will receive a notice to collect fingerprints soon. Then, wait for the interview date to be notified.

The last step is the interview at the consulate. The American consulate will contact you, please attend the interview.

After the interview at the embassy, the applicant will receive a visa stamped with the immigration seal (the effect is equivalent to a green card, and the real green card will take time to make, and will be officially received about 6 months after going to the United States), and can be ready to leave.

The above is the relevant process of going to the United States to work as a nurse. Every country has different policies. You need to determine the country you want to go to before you can choose a specific way to go abroad.

I hope this helps.
