The first hurdle before everyone when studying abroad is to pass the language test. This is also the most basic and important step in studying abroad. Today's English exams for studying abroad are nothing more than TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, SAT and other well-known "foreign exams".

1.TOEFL:

TOEFL is an English proficiency test conducted by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) in the United States. Its full name is "The Test of English Proficiency for Non-Native English Speakers" , Chinese transliteration is "TOEFL". 2.IELTS:

IELTS is an English proficiency test taken by people who want to study abroad or immigrate to Commonwealth countries. The test content is divided into immigration (Category G) and academic (Category A), including listening, speaking, reading and writing. Category G and Category A only differ in two single items: reading and writing. The test format is a written test, with a full score of 9 points. The test time is: 165 minutes. The test is valid for two years. In 2013, IELTS was recognized by more than 8,000 institutions, covering educational institutions, employers, professional associations and government departments in 170 countries around the world. In 2012, in the United States, more than 3,000 colleges and universities recognized IELTS scores, [3] including all Ivy League schools (Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Pennsylvania, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth) and most of the top 100 U.S. universities. 3.GRE:

There is no restriction on eligibility to apply for the exam. Almost all law schools require applicants to take the LSAT. The LSAT exam*** has five parts, including three aspects of content. Each part is 35 minutes long, plus 30 minutes of writing. The three aspects of content are reading comprehension, logical reasoning and analytical reasoning. 6.SAT:

The full name is Scholastic Assessment Test, and its Chinese name is Academic Ability Assessment Test. SAT is equivalent to the American College Entrance Examination. The current format of the SAT exam began in March 2005. The total duration of the SAT test is 3 hours and 45 minutes (225 minutes). It has three subjects: Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing. Each SAT test is divided into 10 sections. The total score is 2400 points.

SAT exams are held on the first Saturday in March, May, June, October, November and December and on the last Saturday in January. Among them, the exam is held in March every year only in the United States. There are no test centers in mainland China.
