Progress of Datengxia Water Control Project

The project proposal of Datengxia Water Control Project was officially approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in February 20 1 1. In May this year, the executive meeting of the State Council arranged to speed up the construction of major water conservancy projects for water saving and water supply, and requested that the planned 172 major water conservancy projects be built step by step next year and during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, among which Datengxia water conservancy project was listed as the largest water conservancy project.

At present, the land requisition in dam area of Guiping City of Datengxia Water Control Project has been promoted in an orderly manner, the pavement hardening construction is under way, and the planning and construction of resettlement sites are also carried out in an orderly manner. 6543818 October, the feasibility study report of Datengxia Water Control Project was approved by the State Council.

On June 5, 2004, the mobilization meeting for the construction of Datengxia Water Control Project in Guangxi was held near the dam site of Datengxia Water Control Project in Nanmu Town, Guiping City, Guangxi. The mobilization meeting was attended by the Ministry of Water Resources, the National Development and Reform Commission and relevant leaders of Guangdong, Guangxi and Macao Special Administrative Regions. The convening of the conference marks that the Datengxia Water Control Project has officially entered the construction stage.
