What cities are there in northern Jiangsu?

Subei, referred to as Subei for short, is located in the Yangtze River Delta with Shanghai as the leader, and is an important part of China coastal economic belt. According to the current administrative divisions of Jiangsu, northern Jiangsu includes five prefecture-level cities: Xuzhou, Lianyungang, Suqian, Huai 'an and Yancheng.

Xuzhou: Xuzhou is an important gateway city in East China, an important center of science, education, culture, finance, tourism, medical care and exhibition in East China, and an important center of economy, commerce and foreign trade in Jiangsu Province.

Suqian: Suqian is the youngest prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province, ranking among the top 100 cities above the prefecture level in China. Suqian has famous tourist attractions such as Wang Xiang's hometown, Roman Lake and Hongze Lake Wetland. Suqian is also the wine capital of China, and Yanghe and Shuanggou are two famous wines here. The excellent ecology of "Three Rivers, Two Lakes and One Wetland" brewed China Mianrou Liquor with unique characteristics.

Lianyungang: Lianyungang was called "Haizhou" in ancient times, with a sea area of 6,677 square kilometers. It is the first batch of coastal open cities in China, the oriental bridgehead of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge, and the city where the Belt and Road meet. Lianyungang is an excellent tourist city in China, with beautiful scenery and environment, and a large area of coastal wetlands and ocean beaches.

Huai 'an: Huai 'an is located in the north-central part of Jiangsu Province, in the east of Jianghuai Plain and in the Yangtze River Delta. It is an important central city in northern Jiangsu and a famous cultural city with a history of more than 2,000 years.

Yancheng: Yancheng is the largest prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province. In ancient times, it was named "salt field around the city". After more than two thousand years of historical precipitation, Yancheng exudes a strong sea salt culture everywhere. Yancheng people are mostly descendants of Jiangnan immigrants, so folk culture belongs to the traditional Jiangnan culture. Yancheng is also the main birthplace of Huai Opera.
