Why is there the largest number of Chinese in Vancouver?

When Canada built the Pacific Railway, it recruited a large number of Chinese workers from China. Many of these China workers later stayed in Vancouver. Vancouver is the end of the Pacific Railway and the largest city in the Pacific region of Canada.

Before 1997, a large number of Hong Kong people immigrated. Because Canada and Hong Kong in the British Hong Kong era belonged to the Commonwealth, it was relatively easy to immigrate to Canada. Among all the big cities in Canada, Vancouver is the only city with a warm climate, and most Hong Kong immigrants choose to live in Vancouver.

Later, new immigrants from Chinese mainland came to Canada, and most of them chose to live in Vancouver. One of the reasons is the above-mentioned climatic advantages, and the other is that Vancouver has established a strong cultural atmosphere in China, where new immigrants from China can adapt more easily.

For the above three reasons, there are more and more Chinese in Vancouver.
