Because of immigration, the community-based lifestyle in China is not as important as it used to be. With the prevalence of renting houses and living in construction sites, people who emigrate to China cannot form community-based alliances. In particular, the scattered distribution of construction sites in the whole city and the oppression of landlords have seriously restricted the development of communities, and communities can promote mutual benefit among families. Only in immigrant enclaves will there be community forms similar to those in other places, but this is different from the international community model, because these community organizations are based on fellow villagers or the same occupation.

In China's living mode, the most striking thing is the function of the network of fellow villagers. This form of organization exists in many societies, but it is the most powerful in China. For the floating population in China, it is an important basis for their life to get rid of the relationship of fellow villagers whose place of residence is not restricted by them. Under the influence of the new situation and policies, this traditional organizational form has been strengthened. The relationship between fellow villagers can be compared all over the world, and at the same time, the relationship between urban floating population in China can be compared with the international community model.
