Why haven't humans discovered aliens yet?

Scientists keep sending out radio signals, from numbers to music to painting to pop culture, and so on. Almost everything has been tried, and the universe is still silent. Some scientists believe that it is not that there are no aliens, but that there is something wrong with communication. Because they are too far apart, the receiver may not be able to distinguish the information from the background noise of the universe.
