Who is the real mayor?

The prototype of the mayor is Lv Le. The mayor is a police officer in the military uniform. With his wit, he took the position of chief inspector, took all the money in black and white, unified gambling and usury in his jurisdiction, and used the police as an umbrella to embezzle assets of about 500 million Hong Kong dollars. He is the first of the four major detectives in Hong Kong.

The play tells the story of two drug dealers "Lame Hao" and "Mayor" who were popular in Hong Kong in 1960s and 1970s. The filming of this play met with a lot of resistance. Wu Xihao still has many residual followers outside the prison. It is said that Lv Liangwei was threatened, but fortunately, the difficulties were finally overcome and the film was finally released.

The life of a real character in The Mayor

Lv Le spent his whole life in sin. In 1960s, Hong Kong was an area where pornography and gambling drugs were rampant. On the one hand, Lu Yue is a police inspector; on the other hand, she is also connected with triad organizations. It can be said that it is black and white, and its position is very prominent. She amassed a lot of wealth with the mob boss.

1974, the former governor MacLehose set up the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and started the "Tiger Beating" campaign. During this period, conflicts often occurred in Hong Kong. Before being wanted by ICAC, Lv Le moved to Canada with his family, and then he was afraid of being extradited to Hong Kong. His wife fled to Taiwan Province Province, which has no extradition agreement with Hongkong, and most of his children stayed in Vancouver.

Whether Lv Le was sent to Canada for burial after his death in Taiwan Province or died in Canada has not been confirmed yet. Lv Le is still on the wanted list of the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption.

According to Canadian police, at least 40 people have fled from Hongkong, and Lv Le intends to immigrate to Vancouver. When Lv Le was interviewed in Taiwan Province in his later years, he was asked if he wanted to go back to Hongkong. Lv Le said that he had no friends in Hongkong and my home was in Taiwan Province, so he had nothing to miss when he went back.
