What are the most difficult dialects to understand in China?

On 20 13, 12, netizens published the ranking of "Ten Most Difficult Dialects to Learn in China" on Weibo. Wenzhou dialect ranked first, followed by Cantonese, and Minnan dialect was only selected, ranking third with Suzhou dialect, followed by Shanghai dialect, Shaanxi dialect, Changsha dialect, Sichuan dialect and Shandong dialect.

I think Wenzhou dialect is really difficult to understand. One of my colleagues is from Wenzhou. Once I heard her talking to her family on the phone, and it felt like listening to a gobbledygook. I didn't hear a word. I remember hearing a story. During my stay in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Eighth Route Army sent two Wenzhou people to contact or meet by phone, but Japanese intelligence personnel couldn't translate it. I want to go too. I am a native of China, and I don't understand a word, let alone Japanese. It can be seen that Wenzhou dialect is difficult to understand since ancient times. A colleague of mine in Wenzhou has lived in Nanchang for two years, but he is still confused when he hears Nanchang dialect, which is even more difficult to understand than Wenzhou dialect.

I come from Jiangxi. It is not too difficult to listen to Changsha dialect (thanks to Wang Han's daily progress), Sichuan dialect and Shandong dialect. I don't want to know everything, but it is still possible to understand 5 or 6 sentences in 10. On the contrary, I find it hard to hear the words from different parts of Jiangxi. For example, some students are from Jiujiang and Yichun. When they chat with their fellow villagers or family members in their hometown dialect, I can occasionally understand one or two sentences, but I can't understand others.

I think Jiangxi dialect should be more difficult to understand than Sichuan dialect and Northeast dialect, because each region has its own dialect.
