What is the difference between the special IELTS test and the general IELTS test for British visa application and immigration?

UKVI's IELTS is exactly the same as IELTS in content, form, difficulty, examiner and grading standard. The main differences are:

1. Different levels of security monitoring: The British Visa and Immigration Bureau will join the supervision of the security level of the examination. In order to meet the requirements of the British Visa and Immigration Bureau for security monitoring, the test center that holds IELTS for UKVI will have higher security monitoring technology and level.

2. Different test sites: At present, there are 12 test sites that can provide UKVI IELTS in Chinese mainland and 1 in Hongkong, totaling 13 test sites. The rest of the domestic test sites are not within the scope approved by the British Visa and Immigration Bureau. Students should pay attention to this when applying for IELTS.

3. Different exam fees: IELTS will have different exam fees for UKVI and IELTS due to different test sites and facilities. UKVI IELTS and British Life Skills IELTS were officially registered on March 30th, 20th15th. The teacher reminded the preparatory/language students, undergraduate/graduate students of non-high-trust universities to register for IELTS and IELTS for life skills in the designated examination room in Chinese mainland 12 as soon as possible.
