The legend of Xihe Longjing

Today, in a small farmhouse in Group 4, Longjing Village, xihe town, Longquanyi District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China, 63-year-old Grandpa Gao tasted "three flowers", leaned on a bamboo chair, crossed his legs and bathed in the warm spring sunshine, telling me a story that has been circulating for many years. A long time ago, because of poverty, Xihe people failed to pay tribute to the Xijiang Dragon King on time. The dragon king was very angry. As a result, drought came to the world-there was not a drop of rain all summer, and the sun was scorching. Seeing that there is no water in the riverbed, the bottom of the well dries up, the seedlings die, many animals die because of lack of water, and even some hundred-year-old trees lose their branches and leaves, and the people are dying. In order to survive, people carry pigs, sheep and fruit-picking sacrifices and flock to the Longwang Temple in Xijiang River to beg for rain. They knelt down and looked at the sky eagerly, hoping that the Dragon King would forgive and forget and let the next rain pass. However, for several days, there was no result. Seeing that the drought is getting worse, it is likely to crack the world of Kyushu. At this moment, Yu Xia suddenly came to this world. He spoke righteously, raised his sharp axe and saw a dazzling flash. With a loud noise, he split the earth in two. In a flash, the rolling Xijiang River rushed in with irresistible force. The river is surging, the white waves are rolling, and the people are cheering. People are lying by the Xijiang River, drinking heavily. They beat gongs and drums, sang Hakka songs and danced Hakka dances, and the whole Xijiang River was completely immersed in a festive atmosphere. Suddenly, there was a strong wind, dark clouds, lightning and thunder, the river was raging, the water waves roared and roared, and waves several feet high passed overhead. After the storm, a dragon appeared on the water. The dragon's mouth was wide open, a pair of small eyes like lanterns were on fire, and his huge body was as exhausted as a whirlwind, and he ran to the carnival crowd with his teeth bared. At this critical moment, Yu Xia bravely faced the evil dragon. He threw the sharp axe into the air, and he heard "goo goo!" A bloody faucet rolled from mid-air into the water. The dragon was cut off and the drought eased. Since then, the weather has been fine. To commemorate Yu Xia's achievements, the local people specially drilled a well where the faucet landed. The water quality of this well is very good, and it is called "Longjing". Later, the village was named after "Longjing" and has continued to this day.
