Actually, they were formed by the former Guangzhou FAW Group Corporation merged with the Tram Company, Xinsui Company and several other companies to become First Bus.

The former Guangzhou Second Automobile Company merged with (Guangzhou) Hengtong and Xinghua Bus Waiting for several companies to become the Second Bus

The former Guangzhou Three Automobile Co., Ltd. merged with several companies such as Guangzhou Baima and Guangzhou Zhenbao to become the Third Bus

These merged companies are joint ventures , the Guangzhou Transportation Commission accounts for the majority of the shares, and private owners account for the small shares

Xinfuli is an independent Hong Kong and Macao foreign-funded company without a state-owned background. Panyu mainly operates Panyu routes and routes between Guangzhou and Panyu. Huadu Hengtong mainly operates routes between Huadu area and Guangzhou city.

In the past, FAW mainly provided routes within the city, 2W Group provided routes from urban to suburbs, and 3W Group mainly provided routes from the suburbs. The routes are not so clear now
