The Historical Evolution of Fushun Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Fushun Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was formerly the United Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. At that time, there were only 100 medical staff.

In the early days of the hospital, the conditions of the hospital were simple, but all the well-known Chinese medicine practitioners in Fushun area gathered, which laid a deep clinical academic foundation for the hospital.

At that time, the hospital was trusted and praised by Fushun people with the superb medical skills and prestige of a group of famous Chinese medicine experts, including the deputy chief physicians of internal medicine, orthopedics, gynecology, Chi Yongqing, Zhang Shushen and Zhen, deputy chief physicians of acupuncture and moxibustion.

After the "Cultural Revolution" transformation, Chinese medicine hospitals assumed all the functions and tasks of municipal general hospitals. Some elites from the first hospital of the former city entered the Chinese medicine hospital, forming a new situation in which two medical teams of Chinese and Western medicine grew together and traditional medicine and modern medicine developed side by side. The well-known traditional Chinese medicine bonesetting is famous both inside and outside the province, and the domestic advanced kidney transplantation is the first case in our hospital.

The outpatient departments of internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics and ENT are complete with advanced equipment. The academic leaders are equipped with two sets of disciplines of Chinese and Western medicine, which are well-known in the medical field in the province and in China, such as famous orthopedic expert Chi Yongqing, famous internal medicine expert Li Guozhu, famous acupuncture expert Zhen Xiting, famous urology expert Umbrella Du Qing, famous ophthalmologist and famous pediatrician Yu Xianbin.
