Do you think it is reasonable for Beijing to propose an 8.5% salary increase for normal enterprises?

At first glance, I feel a little surprised. I got a raise, and later I saw that this was the lowered benchmark. I went to find out. It turns out that in recent years, the wage guideline standard published by Beijing has been declining for four consecutive years since 20 13. Among them, the upper limit dropped from 16.5% in 20 13 years to 14% this year, and the baseline was lowered from 12% in 20 13 years to 8.5% this year.

Moreover, according to the introduction of the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, the wage guideline is an annual salary increase proposal issued by the government to enterprises according to the economic development control objectives of the year, and it is not mandatory.

In fact, for a well-run and solid enterprise, raising salary can improve the enthusiasm of employees. For enterprises with poor management, lowering the baseline of salary increase is actually of vital significance to the survival of these enterprises. Nowadays, many people start their own businesses and the government encourages them. For a start-up enterprise, it must be a hard journey. I think it has reduced the measures that the government wants to protect and encourage entrepreneurship for four consecutive years.

If you think about it, the difference between 16.5% and 8.5% is almost double. An enterprise basically has a salary gap of several hundred people, which is a large amount for a well-developed enterprise. Of course, it can pay this amount. Otherwise, the government would not set such a figure. However, in recent years, with the introduction of policies to encourage entrepreneurship, many small and medium-sized enterprises have appeared in front of us. Many of my college classmates started their own businesses, and it is very difficult to go from starting a business to normal operation. If they just stand firm and run better, it will be a heavy burden to get so much salary at once. After all, an enterprise should have a lot of liquidity.

But I don't think it is very reasonable for people who work normally. Now the house price is so high, the price is so high, and the cost of living is higher than in previous years, but the wage increase is so much lower at once.
