B series researcher, Sun Yat-sen University

At present, the state still implements the staffing management of public institutions in colleges and universities, and schools must strictly control the scale of career staffing. At the same time, due to the development of various undertakings in the school, all units and departments have some affairs and positions, which require different levels of hiring staff. The school divides all kinds of jobs into A series and B series, and clearly distinguishes the basic characteristics, responsibilities, treatment and development direction of the two series.

(a) Series A refers to the teaching, scientific research and management personnel employed by the school under the current national staffing management system, as well as the original permanent workers (usually called permanent staffing personnel) left over from history. Under the current national personnel management system, the personnel relations and personnel files of such personnel enter the school and receive retirement benefits from the school after retirement. If the relevant national policies change, the new policies will be implemented (such as social security).

(2) Series B refers to the personnel engaged in auxiliary and routine work in the teaching, scientific research and management of the school; Personnel engaged in certain phased, temporary or special work; Due to the limitation of A-series posts, some units are temporarily included in B-series post managers for a period of time. Such personnel sign employment contracts with schools (units), and their personnel relations and personnel files do not enter the school. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, participate in social insurance and pay social security fees, the school pays part, and enjoy social security-related benefits after leaving or retiring.
