Longhai City Dongyuan Industrial Zone was established with the approval of the Zhangzhou Municipal People’s Government in September 2000. In July 2001, it was identified as a provincial key industrial park by the Provincial Township Enterprise Bureau. It is an important part of the development strategy of "revitalizing the city, developing industry and enriching the people based on Hong Kong" and the development strategy of "integrating into the first bay, strengthening the two wings, connecting the three districts, affecting the four fronts, and building five economic circles". The total planned area of ??the park is 6.8 square kilometers, and the first phase of development is 2.9 square kilometers. A total of more than 30 million yuan has been invested in the construction of roads, communications, power supply, water supply, drainage, sewage and other infrastructure in the area. The park has introduced 48 enterprises of various types, involving furniture manufacturing, food processing, electronic communications, machinery industry, paper making and packaging, craft supplies and other industries. Among them, there are 34 large-scale enterprises with an investment of more than 5 million yuan, and 2 large-scale enterprises with an investment of more than 100 million yuan.
