"Grey sculpture", also known as "grey sculpture", is a traditional sculpture art popular in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. On June 7th, 2008, it was approved by the State Council, People's Republic of China (PRC) to be included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

As early as the Tang Dynasty in China, there was a record that gray plastic was used for architectural decoration. Up to now, the earliest building decorated with gray plastic in Guangzhou is Zengcheng Zhengguo Temple, which was built in the third year of Song Qingyuan (1 197) and has a gray plastic dragon boat ridge on its roof.
