East Taihang Scenic Area is located in Wu 'an City, Handan City, Hebei Province, and is named after the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain.

Topography of East Taihang Scenic Area;

As early as 2.8 billion years ago, Taihang Mountain area was submerged by seawater, and huge thick clastic rocks, iron-bearing siliceous rocks and carbonate rocks were deposited. Affected by Wutai Movement and Lvliang Movement, the paleostrata in this area generally suffered from fold metamorphism, accompanied by the intrusion of faults and quartzite veins.

Until/kloc-0.8 billion years ago, migmatized crystalline basement rocks were formed. 600 million years ago, Taihang Mountain was still Wang Yang. Later, after frequent crustal activities, Taihang Mountain gradually rose. Later, it broke with the East-West Great Plain of North China, forming a landform with steep Taihang in the east and slow Taihang in the west.

East Taihang Mountain is named because it is located at the east foot of Taihang Mountain. The slopes on the east and west sides are relatively gentle and steep from north to south. The ridge runs from south to north, with the peak of Heshang Peak in the north, with an altitude of 1, 428.2 meters.
