What are TCF and TEF?

TCF test was set up by French International Teaching and Research Center at the request of French Ministry of Education. TCF is a standard proficiency test, and the test questions are very rigorous, so it is a veritable language proficiency test tool. The exam aims to test the French level of non-native French speakers. Candidates generally take exams for professional or personal needs, so they can test their French simply, quickly and credibly. TCF exam consists of compulsory exam and supplementary exam. A complete TCF test can accurately measure the French level of candidates. According to the test results, the level of candidates can be positioned according to the six grades set by the European Council. TCF was recognized by the European Language Testing Committee, and the French Center for International Teaching and Research (CIEP) was accepted as a member in May 2002. Therefore, TCF is the same French testing tool as Yas in English and Telford in German. The complete TCF exam includes three required items and two supplementary exams, and the total duration of the exam is ***3 hours. The required part time is 1 hour 30 minutes, which consists of 80 multiple-choice questions. Details are as follows:

Listening (30 questions -25 minutes);

Language structure (grammar and vocabulary) (20 questions -20 minutes);

Reading comprehension (30 questions -45 minutes).

Supplementary tests include: writing test (commenting on a message and demonstrating a topic), and the test time is 1 hour for 45 minutes. 15 minute oral test.

All exam questions are corrected by the French Center for International Teaching and Research (CIEP).

The forms of test scores are as follows: the total score of the required part is 699, and the test scores are divided into 6 grades according to this score; Each part (listening, language structure, reading comprehension) has a separate score and grade; The total score of writing test is 20 points; The total score of oral test is also 20 points; After taking the exam, candidates can get scores marked with different parts through the test center; TCF exam results are valid for two years.

TEF examination is organized by Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry. French learners can sum up their abilities and prove their language proficiency through this exam. Therefore, anyone who wants to show his French level, whether for study or work reasons, can take this exam. The required part consists of three parts, 150 multiple-choice questions. Most exam questions have four alternative answers. Some questions in the listening comprehension section will have two or five alternative answers, and only one alternative answer of all questions is correct. Candidates answer questions directly on the computer, and then the answers are processed by CCIP. The examination time is 2 hours 10 minute. The form of test results is as follows: the required part is 900 points; The total score of reading comprehension is 300; The total score of listening part is 360; The total score of vocabulary structure is 240; After the exam, you can get an informal (unconfirmed by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry) report card to know about your exam. At present, only e-tef can be tested in China (the traditional test has been completely replaced by computer test). The validity period of test results is 1 year.

TCF exam is more difficult than TEF! But the time is very short, an hour and a half. I have listening, single choice and reading. The first few questions and answers in listening are all read out, and only four letters, A B C D, can be seen. The single choice is relatively simple, and they are all grammatical points. Reading is your luck. I only drew a few words. On the whole, it is difficult to TEF, but according to the difficulty coefficient, the score is still relatively good, hehe.
