Exploration of Social Work Specialty: Do Students Need Resident Social Workers?

School social workers originated in 2007. Mr. Xu Yongguang, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, introduced the system of "one school and one social worker" to Beijing for the first time. When social workers enter the school, they find students' problems early and provide services with a professional eye, and at the same time provide developmental services such as potential development and career planning for all students. School social workers have gone through 13 years. Unfortunately, in many places in China, "school social worker" is still a relatively new word. Many school leaders and parents don't know what resident social workers can do.
