First, political assessment.

1. Candidates applying for military colleges and national defense colleges must be fresh graduates from ordinary middle schools and previous high schools who have taken the national unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities. Age not less than 17 years old, not more than 20 years old (as of 2015,31), unmarried.

2. The candidates' political conditions are that they love China's * * * production party, the socialist motherland, the people and the people's army, support the party's line, principles and policies, abide by the national constitution and laws, have a clear history, are progressive in thinking, have good moral character and are willing to engage in national defense.

3, the political assessment by the county (city, district, SAR) People's Armed Forces Department in conjunction with the county admissions office, candidates registered permanent residence of the local police station and middle school specific organization and implementation. If the candidate's household registration is not in the same area as the ordinary middle school, educational institution or work unit where the candidate attends, the political assessment work shall be undertaken by the people's armed forces department at the county level where the candidate applies. Political assessment shall be conducted in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Security and the General Political Department.

4. 4. Military academies admit new students and conduct political examination and physical examination within 3 months. Those who pass the re-examination have obtained their school status and military status (the trainees recruited by the Second Military Medical University, the Third Military Medical University and the Fourth Military Medical University are reserve officers and enjoy the relevant treatment provided by the army. 5. National defense students admitted to ordinary colleges and universities will conduct political and physical examinations within 15 days. 6. After graduation, military cadets and national defense students are assigned to work in the army by colleges and universities according to the distribution plan issued by the General Political Department, and are appointed as officers or civilian cadres according to their jobs.
