Shijiazhuang National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone (hereinafter referred to as "Shijiazhuang Hi-tech Zone") is located in the east of Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, 270 kilometers away from Beijing, about 300 kilometers away from Tianjin Port, 0/5 kilometers away from Shijiazhuang Railway Station and Shijiazhuang Airport, and close to Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao, Shitai and Shihuang expressway. Shijiazhuang East Station is the station of Shijiazhuang-Jinan Passenger Dedicated Line, which is connected with Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway and Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway.

Shijiazhuang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone is the first batch of national high-tech zones approved by the State Council on March 6th, 199 1.

1995 with the consent of the former state science and technology commission and the approval of the municipal editorial office, the former provincial economic and technological development zone was merged into the high-tech zone. At the end of 2009, the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government decided that the High-tech Zone would host Songying Town in Yuhua District and Yima Town in Luancheng County.

In 20 18, Shijiazhuang high-tech zone ranked 17 in the comprehensive strength ranking of national high-tech zones, and ranked seventh in the comprehensive competitiveness of national biomedical industrial parks.
