Dongguan Village, Dongguan Town, Qi County, Shanxi Province, was originally named Dongguan.

According to county records, the name was changed to Dongguan in the 45th year of Emperor Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty, so it was named after the original Guanyin Temple sitting in the west and facing east.
