Can triode be replaced by SCR?

One: in most cases, it can't, and a few special circumstances can replace it;

1, the main purpose of triode is amplification, and silicon controlled rectifier is generally used as switch;

2. Triode has low withstand voltage and thyristor has high withstand voltage;

3. Thyristors can be divided into two directions, while triodes can only be used in one direction;

4. Under the condition that the normalized source voltage is always maintained, the thyristor will always be on, but the triode is not;

The replacement conditions of the two are harsh, so we must pay attention to the withstand voltage, current and the role in the line (switch function only); Triode also has a semi-conductive state, while thyristor does not. Both sides have advantages and disadvantages.

Two: Triode

Triode, the full name should be semiconductor triode, also known as bipolar transistor and transistor, is a current-controlled semiconductor device. Its function is to amplify a weak signal into an electrical signal with a large amplitude, and it is also used as a contactless switch. Transistor is one of the basic components of semiconductor, which has the function of current amplification and is the core component of electronic circuit. The triode is composed of two PN junctions, which are very close to each other on the semiconductor substrate. Two PN junctions divide the whole semiconductor into three parts, the middle part is the base region, and the two sides are the emitter region and the collector region. The arrangement is PNP and NPN.

Three: SCR

Thyristor, the abbreviation of thyristor rectifier, is a high-power semiconductor device with three PN junctions and four layers, also known as thyristor. It has the characteristics of small volume, relatively simple structure and strong function, and is one of the commonly used semiconductor devices. The device is widely used in various electronic devices and products, such as controllable rectification, inverter, frequency conversion, voltage regulation, contactless switch and so on. Silicon controlled devices are widely used in dimming lamps, speed regulating fans, air conditioners, televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, cameras, stereos, acousto-optic circuits, timing controllers, toy devices, radio remote control, cameras and industrial control.
