Zhuji People’s Hospital is a third-level comprehensive hospital, a non-directly affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical University and Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine Key collaborative hospitals. The hospital was formerly the Zhuji Public Hospital. It was funded by the United Nations Relief Administration in 1946 and initiated by Zhuji celebrities Jiang Dingwen and Zhou Chenghu.

Due to changes in affiliation, it has been renamed Zhejiang Provincial Zhuji Hospital, the First Sanatorium of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government Health Department, the First Rehabilitation Hospital of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government Health Department, and the Zhejiang Provincial First Rehabilitation Hospital.

In July 1957, the First Rehabilitation Hospital of Zhejiang Province merged with the Zhuji County People's Hospital and was called Zhuji County People's Hospital. In November 1989, Zhuji was removed from the county and established as a city, and was renamed Zhuji People's Hospital to this day. On October 31, 2012, the hospital was moved to No. 9 Jianmin Road, Taozhu Street, and started operation on November 1. The new hospital is a modern, humane, garden-style hospital integrating safety, comfort, and economy. It covers an area of ??250 acres and has a construction area of ??170,000 square meters. In addition to the main office, a Jiangdong branch has been opened in the urban area.

In May 2017, the hospital became a key collaborative hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University.
