Why nobody wants to do wire cutting?

WEDM may be unpopular as a job for several reasons:

1. High skill requirements: operating the numerical control WEDM requires certain technology and operation skills. This technology is not easy for everyone to master, and it needs professional training and experience accumulation.

2. The working environment is relatively poor: WEDM is usually carried out in a relatively closed, high temperature and bad noise environment, which may make this work less popular. However, the wire cutting workshops in many factories are independent rooms with air conditioning, and advanced wire cutting machines do not have resistance boxes and do not generate heat. Moreover, high-end wire cutting machines mostly use servo AC motors, which have little vibration, light sound and no harsh noise during operation.

3. Repetitive work: Operating a CNC WEDM machine tool may involve a lot of repetitive work, which may seem monotonous to some people.

4. Need professional knowledge: There are certain professional knowledge requirements for material properties and cutting parameters, which may increase the difficulty of work.

Nevertheless, wire cutting is still a valuable skill and occupation for those who are good at and like mechanical operation, technical challenges and precision machining.
