The former sites of Anxi Central County Committee, Anxi County People's Democratic Government and "Eight Branches and Four Regiments" (that is, the Fourth Regiment of the Eighth Detachment of China People's Liberation Army Border Region Column) are located in Chongde Middle School, Changkeng Township, Anxi County, Quanzhou City.

1May 949 10, Anxi County was liberated. On June 4th, 65438, the People's Democratic Government of Anxi County was established. The Kuomintang Fujian Provincial Government urgently mobilized troops from Xiamen, Quanzhou and Longyan to attack Anxi County. On May 16, Xiao Chongguang, the Second Security Corps of Fujian Province, attacked Anxi County. In order to preserve the revolutionary effective force, the party and government cadres and training courses of Anxi Central County Committee were moved down to Changkeng under the cover of guerrillas. The headquarters of the party, government and army was located in Chongde Middle School, leading and commanding eight regiments and guerrillas in Anxi, Yongchun, Datian, Dehua, Zhangping and Ningyang counties, and successively taking the initiative to capture six counties, making indelible contributions to the liberation of Quanzhou with the southern army.
