The object and goal of the pre-service training program for young people This program aims to provide effective help for young people who have given up their education in juvenile reformatory to return to society and embark on a healthy and positive development track, and reduce the recidivism rate. Organizer and Co-organizer This project is sponsored by Liao Humanities Foundation and Guangzhou Children's Palace, and assisted by Department of Social Work of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou Youth Volunteers Association and Zhang (in his personal capacity) of Juvenile Education College. Three. Objectives of the Exploration Period In order to achieve the objectives of the youth pre-service training program, a set of practical assistance programs must be explored within six months to one year after the program starts, so as to meet the different needs of various overdue teenagers in juvenile detention centers and effectively help them work and live healthily and actively. Four. Work content in exploration period 1. Work standards: comprehensively count the types and characteristics of customers, then formulate multiple aid routes, and determine the budget and closing standards for each aid route; 2. Establish a "temporary shelter": set up two jobs as the first resettlement place for customers who leave the hospital at the end of the term, and receive basic work quality training and 1-2 months of life planning assistance; 3. Establish a number of "receiving points": establish contact and cooperation relations with various businesses and factories in Guangzhou, so that the clients can engage in formal work and begin to learn to live independently after the "temporary shelter" stage; 4. Explore ways to provide continuing education assistance to customers after leaving school; 5. Five follow-up teams composed of young volunteers from Guangzhou started their follow-up work from June 5th to 10, 2007, and submitted their follow-up reports on the 5th of each month. Status of recipients (anonymous): A: They have stable jobs and gradually become the backbone members of the program, shouldering the work of "temporary shelter" managers.
