Is it easy for English majors to enter foreign companies?

I am a fresh graduate majoring in translation in 2022. Both the postgraduate entrance examination and the examination failed this year. Later, in July, I was directly hired by Boss and got a job in a foreign company, which was also very lucky.

Work: The leader found me a sister to take me with him, and every day different colleagues took me to learn the on-site manufacturing process of company documents and products. The first three months are all training. Compared with my foreign trade classmates, our company's training system is relatively perfect, and there is little pressure at present.

Life: the company provides dormitory, one for two people, and the environment is good; The monthly meal card subsidizes the canteen, and the rest of the money can go to the canteen to buy snacks, milk, fruit and so on. Therefore, accommodation and meals are basically free of charge. Colleagues often invite guests to dinner. Many colleagues in the company are my hometown. The leader cares about whether I adapt from time to time.

Salary: starting salary for undergraduate students is 7-8k, and starting salary for graduate students is 9-11k. The annual year-end bonus is about 10% of the annual salary. Working days 1.5 times overtime pay, three times holidays, weekends off. Male employees have 7 days paid annual leave, 7 days paid sick leave and 2 months paternity leave every year. Social security accumulation fund 18.5%, and wages increase by 6% every year. The mobility of employees in the company is not great. Most ordinary employees have accumulated 3-4 years of experience in job hopping, and their wages have basically increased by 30%-50%.

How to work in a foreign company?

English requirements: at least fluent in spoken English and proficient in reading and writing (CET-6, TEM-4, TEM-8, IELTS and other certificates).

For non-English majors, it is a good choice to do supply chain-related work in a foreign manufacturing company.
