The temperature of the eggs is controlled between 37 and 39 degrees. An egg sells for 30 cents, but a chicken can sell for 1 dollar. Selling hatched chickens is much better than selling eggs.

At the beginning, a large number of chickens could not hatch because of poor temperature control. Zhao peeled off the eggs that were not hatched and found that many of them had grown out, but they were not hatched because the temperature was too cold. He bought a thermometer and strictly controlled the temperature on the hot kang. I often go to bed very late at night and review my lessons while guarding the hot kang where the chickens are hatched.

His job is to hold wood firmly on the operating table when sawing wood with a chainsaw, and his salary is not high. However, he can pull back a lot of sawdust for free every day and use a tricycle to pull it back in sacks. Zhao dug several ditches in the yard, then put sawdust in it, sealed it with soil, and sprinkled it with water. After a few days, the soil will be torn apart, and many white fat bugs will be born in the sawdust. These insects are high in protein and are good feed for hens.

It is rainy in summer, and earthworms are particularly active every time it rains. In the evening after the rain, Zhao, who had just returned from the wood processing factory, forgot to eat dinner. He came to the nearby river with an iron drum in one hand and a small iron claw in the other. This is how Zhao tries to reduce the cost of feed for his hens all day.

Zhao and I graduated from high school and both went to the local normal college. I went to this local ordinary college because of my poor grades, so I can only go to this school on the basis of my exam results, and Zhao's score is also important enough. He went to this school because he wanted to save money for his family: accommodation, tuition, travel expenses, meals ... every academic year can save a lot of money.
