Fiverrvs99designs: Is the popular choice really better?
Page five. The winner is five. I personally conducted a thorough test of these two recruitment platforms, which is part of my efforts to find the best new logo for the website Planet. Although 99designs undoubtedly provides excellent competition experience for excellent designers, Fiverr is only slightly better. Read on and I'll prove it to you. Note: Please remember that I only compared the two platforms in terms of design categories. 99 design only does? Design. Fiverr also provides other services, such as having you painted as a mermaid portrait, and other crazy things that I didn't even know existed. Platform architecture and workflow Fiverr does "Gigs" and 99designs does projects and competitions.
Let's say 50-50 first. Fiverr's structure is somewhat unique, which emphasizes "Gigs", that is, personal services provided by the community. These services are one-off, paid once, and the performance can be anything.
I mean it. You can hire someone to design the logo, just like when I tested Fiverr. You can hire them to make music videos, make music for your music videos, write articles and copy for you, sing yodel for you, or almost anything you want to do. If it can be done through the internet, then someone on Fiverr will do it. (As long as it is legal. )
Each seller can list a variety of services they will provide, so there is little emphasis on the user information itself. More emphasis is placed on finding the performance that meets your own needs. You can screen performances according to budget, user rating, estimated delivery time, language you speak, etc.
In other words, if you click on the Gig related to the user, you can view the user profile.
To contact a specific user, please click the Contact Seller button on their Gig page and ask questions before payment. You can also contact them through their user profile. If you want to hire them, you can go to the show and pay. It's that simple.
If you want to do all this on a mobile device, Fiverr has both a website for mobile devices and an application for Android and iOS. The application is basically a mobile site, only some adjustments have been made, and all the functions of the main site are there.
What is the design of 99? Hmm? About design. Of course, this platform can handle anything from web design to print media, but it's all about design-there is no yodeling-and the way to handle design work varies according to the type of work you need to complete.
The biggest problem with 99designs (and cheaper options) is its competition. After all, the design competition is the foundation of the whole community. If you want a logo design, you can pay and answer some questions about what kind of logo you want. Then, if all goes well, a lot of people will promote your logo design.
Then you can sort the designs, find one you like, and let the designer make some minor changes until it is completely correct. This is not a perfect system, but it works well for many people.
You can hire a designer directly, but you need to start a project first. A project is like a competition, but it is usually more expensive and more detailed/customized. You can start a project by specifying what you want, and then you can browse the 99designs community to find your favorite designer.
You can filter the personal data of designers according to the services they provide, the industries they usually design, their recent activities, their design experience level and the language you speak. Once you find the designers you want to cooperate with, you can invite them to participate in your project. If they are interested, they will give you an offer, and you can negotiate all the details from there.
Summarize the difference: in the competition, people will come to you, you don't have so much control, and the cost is lower. In the project, you go to them, you pay more, but you have more control over the design results and can ask for more modifications. The project will also take longer.
On the way? The mobile version of the main website works well. Please note that 99designs has no official mobile application. If you find one on iOS, please make sure that it is actually not just a company called "24Task", using the logo of 99designs, because this is what I found, and it is not cool. This is a draw. I know this will never be satisfactory, but both services have achieved their goals and provided you with functions suitable for your current job. Fiverr allows you to hire people quickly and cheaply. 99designs allows you to get designs from dozens to hundreds of people at a time, or hire a designer for a bigger project.
Find Designer 2 on Fiverr. Ordering your graphic design Fiverr (usually) is very simple, and 99designs (usually) needs more details. Well, your experience with Fiverr may change a little, but it's usually like this: you click the big green continue button on Gig, select any extra services you want, and then pay. Then, you fill out a short questionnaire and make it clear what you want the seller to do. Like what kind of logo do you want?
But the questionnaire can be modified by the seller, which is the potential change. For a logo, I just need to provide the text I want, the color I like and the basic description I want on the logo. I can also upload optional reference materials.
In 99 design, your experience will definitely be different. These competitions have a long sequencing process, because they need to provide a lot of information to (possibly a large number of) designers who will work on your project.
First, define the design style, choose from some sample designs, and move some sliders. You can upload your favorite words and pictures. It won't take long, but it does require some extra effort and thinking. For more information about this process, please refer to my complete design review.
The ranking system of 99 design projects is simpler than the competition process. Here are several text fields where you can list what you want. You can also upload reference documents for designers to consult. Our idea is that more details will be discussed and negotiated between you and the designer you hire.
Winners: five. Although the ordering process of 99designs is good for the task at hand, I like the speed and transparency of Fiverr recruitment process. Gig system can let you know clearly what you will get, while Fiverr usually lets you skip fewer baskets.
? Start designer search on Fiverr3. Working with a freelance graphic designer always depends on the designer, so the deal is as follows. As far as customer satisfaction is concerned, my experience on these two platforms is quite similar. Of the 99 designs, I only worked with one designer once, and I chose the winner of a competition. In May, I actually worked with three designers at the same time, and they were all hired at different prices.
On these two platforms, choosing a designer means that you are led to an instant messaging field, where you can further discuss your presentation, ask for revision, and usually just check how your project is progressing. Once both parties are satisfied, they will give you the documents and you can pay.
The designer is very good at communication and easy-going, and is willing to make changes according to my requirements. In particular, a Fiverr designer (user name: juancharles) exceeded my requirements and realized the changes I requested. They asked me some questions and gave me what I needed. They all have their own ideas, although creativity is usually limited by introductions.
Well, there's a little problem. The most expensive Fiverr designers disappeared for a while, but that was because of some unforeseen travel conditions, so I don't blame them. I will definitely hire every designer again, depending on the project and my budget. There is still a time limit. Potential travel delays may be understandable, but they must still be taken into account when dealing with deadlines.
When everything is said and done, you get the file. In May, the documents you get are completely determined by the designers you hire. They usually list the files you get on the Gig page. Cheaper plans usually include high-quality JPG and/or PNG files. More expensive plans will give you editable vector files and source files.
On 99Design, the list of file formats will change according to the design type you ordered. Logo designer will provide you with:
Original editable file (AI) Digital vector EPS file (RGB) Print vector EPS file (CMYK) Web page preview file (PNG, JPEG, PDF) Advertising designers will provide you with:
Editable AI, PSD, PDF, EPS, INDD, PPTX, SWF or DOCX files web preview files (PNG, JPEG) If the design is full bleeding print design, the bleeding area must include: * Shrugging *. It is not so much a "draw" as a "luck". Every platform has good and bad designers, and my experience is generally good, or at least good enough.
See 99 Design.
Design examples on. Fiverr is ridiculously cheaper than 99designs, so both platforms are free? Can be used. You only need to hire one person. May 1, which may mean only paying money.
