Jiaxiang vocational secondary school was founded in August 1979, and it is the first batch of rural middle schools in China. In May 2000, it was approved as the first batch of national key vocational secondary schools.

The school is an excellent experimental school with key topics such as the research and experiment of vocational guidance of the Ministry of Education, the deepening research and popularization experiment of the overall moral education system of the school, and the investigation of the vocational qualification certificate system of vocational and technical schools. In 2002, the major of electromechanical technology and application was rated as a demonstration major by the Ministry of Education (domestic 15). It was confirmed by Shandong Radio and TV University as the test center of "Computer Application Ability Examination" and designated by Jining Labor Bureau as the "Technical Grade Appraisal Station" for welders, maintenance electricians and electronic technology maintenance workers.
