The origin of China Resources Group?

China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as China Resources or China Resources Group) was founded in 1938. Its predecessor was an underground transportation station established by the Communist Party of China in Hong Kong for the Anti-Japanese War.

In 1948, it was reorganized and renamed China Resources Corporation. In 1952, its affiliation was changed from the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to the Ministry of Trade of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (now the Ministry of Commerce). In 1983, China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd. was reorganized and established. In December 1999, it was decoupled from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and placed under central management. In 2003, it became a central enterprise under the leadership of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
