About the Audio Director of China Communication University

1. What does the sound director do?

This major is aimed at radio, film and television systems, cultural and artistic departments, audio-visual program production and other related units, and trains compound senior professionals who have a certain theoretical foundation of literature, film, television and music, basic knowledge of electronic technology and acoustics, master the principle of recording and sound reinforcement equipment, have basic theoretical knowledge and practical ability of sound design, music recording, film and television recording and on-site sound reinforcement, and are engaged in sound planning, sound design, sound production and on-site sound reinforcement.

2. What is the employment situation of this major after graduation?

Honestly, it's not good.

3. What are their jobs?

Some are TV stations, some are switching to other industries, or relying on relationships. It's even harder if it doesn't matter.

4. If you get good grades in college, what is the hope of coming back from studying abroad and entering CCTV or Radio Beijing? If someone in the family works in CCTV, is it possible to get in by this relationship?

There is little hope. Foreign countries are not particularly strong in this respect, and it is ok to enter CCTV, but there is no shortage of talents in this respect, which is promising, but not great.

I heard that this major is very tiring. I'm not afraid of this. Is there a stable job besides radio?

It depends on the result of your personal efforts. It is too common that the work done after graduation does not match the major of university studies. There are still a lot of variables in this.
