Zouqu is now a town under the jurisdiction of Zhonglou District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province (formerly Zouqu Town, Wujin District)

Zouqu is a typical land of plenty in the east of China, located in the center of Taihu Plain in the Yangtze River Delta, bordering Changzhou in the east, 10 km from the city center, Gehu waters in the south, Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Shanghai-Nanjing Railway and expressway in the north, and Changzhou Airport in the west, between Shanghai and Nanjing. National Highway 3 12, Provincial Highway 340 and Changhong Road all cross the town from east to west.

Since 2000, the town has successively won the honorary titles of new small town construction demonstration town, provincial health town, provincial advanced town of scientific and technological progress, provincial advanced town of mass culture popularization, provincial advanced town of fitness for hundreds of millions of farmers, and municipal civilized town of Jiangsu Province.
